im using processImage API to scan an image and get back it back as an xml. I always get "FormattingType" as "charParams". The schema shows that i can get it also as "wordRecVariants" which is much easier to read and process.

What setting am i missing to get the FormattingType as wordRecVariants?

thanks

The output schema that cloud service is using is schema of FineReader Engine 10. In Engine there is an option to enable writing word recognition variants to xml.

Right now the cloud service doesn't enable this feature. However, we will consider adding this possibility to the API in the future.
