I am using ABBYY Finereader engine 11, Imageviewer component. I want to achieve following:

  1. Select a region of an image which is opened by the ImageViewer component
  2. When selection event triggers, get the text from the selected region

Please let me know how can I achieve this. Sample C# code segment will be most helpful.

You can select blocks which you want to read in the Image Viewer and than call FRPage::Recognize method to extract data from them.

As for IImageViewerEvents Interface, it is implemented on the client side. You can find the detailed implementation advice for your development tool in the Developer's Help → Guided Tour → Advanced Techniques → Programming Aspects → Working with Connectable Objects.
