Hi, can you please provide an example or guide as to how the ABBY Cloud OCR can be used over receipts.

I would like to read the receipts and save them in tabular format for further processing.

Or in other words is the receipt processing available now in the SDK?

Thanks.

In order to process receipt please try to use the processImage method with the textExtraction profile. For more information about predefined profiles please refer to our Documentation.

It is important to understand that the text order sometimes may be wrong. It may happen because of during document analysis the text is grouped in blocks by columns. So, we recommend for this scenario to perform export to XML (words are exported with its coordinates) and then sort the words using its coordinates on your side.

The method for receipt capture is now offically released for the USA. For other countries it is still in beta. Please see more information here: http://ocrsdk.com/documentation/apireference/processReceipt/
