Is it possible to remove all parts of the background image except those underneath the text and pictures? It would make my PDF look a lot better and save a lot of space.

I had contemplated just going with exporting as "text and pictures" only, but there are too many errors in the OCR.

And "image under text" doesn't actually delete (i.e. replace with blank white pixels) the background image that isn't under the text.

Sorry for the delay.

If your question is related to ABBYY Cloud OCR SDK, then unfortunately the service does not support other export modes for PDF.

Your task likely is possible to solve using our offline SDK - ABBYY FineReader Engine. If you are interested in this solution, please send your input image with the description of the issue to your region Support Team to
