In C#, when calling the PrepareImage method i get an exception with the message "Access violation - no RTTI data!".

PrepareImage(imageFilePath, finereaderWorkPath, _prepareImageModeColor, -1, imagePasswordCallback, documentInfoPtr)

When debuggin i can see the parameters load correctly, imageFilePath contains the full path of the file in a folder that exists. finereaderWorkPath contains the folder path to the imagefile. _prepareImageModeColor is instantiated earlier in the code so i know it's loaded right. -1 so all the imagefiles are extracted. imagePasswordCallback is a ImagePasswordCallback and documentInfoPtr is a DocumentInfo.

The imagefile used is a .tif file, don't know if that makes any difference?

Which build of FRE (the version of FREngine.dll file) do you use and how exactly do you import FRE definitions into your project - by #import or by #include?

I am using version 10 of the FREngine.dll and i am using the IEngineLoader to load the engine. I don't understand the #import or #include? I am using C# and VS 2010 where i add the type library as a reference.

Yeap, I've misread your question as if you were using C++. Anyway we need the exact version number from the FREngine.dll file for better analysis of this issue.

I've carefully analysed all the info you provided and well, you're facing an issue that just shouldn't happen. To troubleshoot this we'll need the full source of your code using FRE - could you please contact our technical support via e-mail and supply the code?

I will send the full source code to your TS. Is it this e-mail address: ?
