Dear Sir/ Madam,

I represent the state electric utility in Sri lanka. We are looking for a solution which is capable of recognizing handwritten data and exports to a database.

Link to a sample file is given below. I can share more sample data if you can confirm if it is possible to process them through your system, please.

Regards, Asela

ABBYY technologies allows to recognize the handwritten text only if the characters are written separately (so-called "handprinted text"). In your case it is possible to recognize the numbers in the body of the table, but you will not able to get a good result for the handwritten names of the table columns. Also to recognize handprinted text you should specify the text coordinates manually. You can try the following ABBYY products for your task:

  1. ABBYY FineReader Engine (for offline recognition; the detailed information could be requested here);
  2. ABBYY Cloud OCR SDK (for online recognition). You can read our C# Quick Start Guide and test handprinted recognition on the second tab (“Field-level”).
