I hope I can explain what I am trying to do. I basically have a language learning program, a PDF file, full of sentences with Arabic and English. Originally, when I tried copy and pasting the Arabic into my Anki Flashcard program, the order of parenthesis or some periods would not appear right. So, I ran the PDF file through OCR (Arabic) and then tried it. But the thing is, I'm still having the issue. How can I copy and paste the Arabic sentences directly into Anki without the order changing or messing up? Also, there's a little stick figure symbol which appears fine in the PDF but when I copy and paste it it turns into a number 9. Please help me. By the way, I'm not too tech savvy.

Hi! Could you please specify the name of ABBYY product which you use? Also please share the document that is being processed incorrectly. Thanks!

Hi Oksana! Thank you for your reply. I use ABBYY Fine Reader 12 Pro.

The name of the document that I am working with is Glossika. There are 3 PDF's, each with a thousand sentences in English and Arabic; plus some IPA and transliteration to help with pronunciation etc. All I'd like to do is extract the English sentences and the Arabic sentences; perhaps each in a column of an Excel spreadsheet, so that I can easily import them into Anki for flashcards. Another option would be to have them on an MS Word document with a colon in between the English to Arabic sentences so I can import them to Anki.

Here is a picture of the PDF and how it looks like:

Example of Glossika Page

What I literally need would be this from each sentence; for example from sentence #526 posted above:

I can't open the door. I don't have the key.:.لا أستطع فتح الباب. لا أملك المفتاح

Next Sentence Pair Here

Next Sentence Pair Here

Next Sentence Pair Here...etc.

For all three books...either into MS Word or Column 1 in English and Column 2 in Arabic on Microsoft Excel.

Thank you so much for your reply.
